A Kiwi Cardinal's Chronicles

Cardinal Thomas S Williams February 2015 WelCom – 15

In February 1983, Archbishop Thomas Williams was elevated to the positions of Cardinals, the third successive Archbishop of Wellington to become a member of the College of Cardinals.

A Kiwi Cardinal’s Chronicles is Cardinal Tom’s own story and gives insight into both his life and the life of the Church in New Zealand.

It is the story, told with humour, of an honest, no-nonsense Kiwi priest; of a man who expected no priviledges, he became a Cardinal.

His memoirs introduce us to a man who loves God and the Church of Jesus Christ.

Cardinal Tom has served as he was ordained to do and to walk with others – his clergy and laity – on their journey to God.

He takes us on his journey from his own family and youth, his early priesthood years and through to a changing pace from 2005 to 2014.

‘I commend to you A Kiwi Cardinal’s Chronicles – you will enjoy them very much’ says Archbishop John Dew.
